Pandemic Essay Terrance O'Bannon April 29th
The pandemic I will be talking about is the coronavirus. This is the most recent pandemic that I know of. I like talking about this specific pandemic because I did a lot of research on it and it's pretty interesting.
With the coronavirus people have different opinions on how the virus started because in my opinion i feel like nobody really knows. I believe that a person in China ate bat soup and that caused it. I don’t know why someone would want to have a bat in their food and they would eat it. That’s just pretty nasty in my opinion. But also I think there’s an animal out there that is helping spread the virus, and that animal is called the pangolin. The mammal isn’t that big; it is around 15 to 19 in and weighs around 75 pounds. So the animal isn’t
really that big. It can live in Asia or Africa but people are keeping a good lookout for it.
People are taking their quarantine in different ways, some people are complaining about it saying that they want their normal life back. At first I was one of those
people because I had never stayed in the house for so long so i was getting upset easily. With me I'm an extrovert and I’m very outgoing so I like adventures going anywhere and everywhere. So the first couple weeks I was just out of myself, I just wasn’t the same person. But until one day I was thinking about why not take the positive route out of this instead of the negative. Like I can wake up whenever I want. I don’t have to deal with teachers that I don’t like, hey even I can listen to music and do my work without anybody saying something. I also took it like this when all of this is over where I am going to be going back to school and complaining about waking up early and stuff so why not get as much sleep as you can.
With the corona virus different states are taking quarantine differently too. Like most of the heavily populated states are about to be done with quarantine. Like Georgia just about everything is open down there now. They are basically done with quarantine. It's just I think they have to stay a certain distance from each other. But us Kentucky I don’t even know when normal life is coming back because we don’t know how to stay in the house so I have no clue.
In conclusion this pandemic has taken a big role on everybody and their everyday life I think it's going to be a while before a cure is found.
